Ocean Day
Since 2019, and for 5 consecutive years, #OldSurfer has generated a high impact on social networks with its content, reaching the #1 spot in the #OceanDay trends several times. We achieved this by evolving from STORY-TELLING to the STORY-DOING
2024
We started re thinking the surfing industry
In 2024, the bar was already very high, and yet we surpassed it with the Flama Circular project, aiming to rethink the surfing industry so that every surfer, anywhere in the world, can actively contribute to sustainable change.
2023
We reached the major leagues in sustainability by connecting with the NBA
In 2023, we launched the Swish For Change project from this platform, alongside NBA star Ömer Yurtseven, in which we recovered and transformed abandoned fishing nets into basketball nets for several communities in Miami.
2022
We created the first platform for story-doers joined by the care of the oceans
We launched the platform with an action where we transitioned from StoryTelling to StoryDoing, connecting TrashPeak (which makes surfboards with waste recovered from the sea) with Més que Surf (an organization that helps children with autism through surfing)
2021
We raised our voices for those who do not have one
In 2021, we gave a voice to the dolphins for the first time. We also created a dolphin filter that was shared by more than 40,000 people, reaching 8 million people in just 24 hours.
2020
We reached more than 15M with 100% organic social media
In 2020, “We were fish” performed better: it was shared in 10 countries around the world,reached 15 million people, tripled our followers in social networks, and became the #1trending topic with #OceanDay2020
2019
Our first ocean day our first million reach
In our first Ocean Day participation, we reached more than 1 million people, became a trending topic on social networks, and created a community of over 25,000 followers.
