The ocean has always been good for us.
Now we know why.
Health is connection. With ourselves, with our environment, with the blue world that covers 71% of the planet and runs through 73% of our brain.
Research confirms what surfers, fishermen, and coastal communities have known for generations: proximity to the ocean reduces stress, restores attention, and strengthens emotional balance. Neuroscience is now mapping what the body already knew. The sea doesn't just look good. It works.
This is the space where ocean and human wellbeing meet. Built for leaders, organizations, and brands that understand protecting the ocean and protecting ourselves are the same thing.
Blue Neuroscience Hub
Blue Mind is a concept developed by marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols that describes the state of calm and well-being the brain experiences in the presence of water. Inspired by this concept, Blue Neuroscience explores the scientific evidence behind the positive effects of aquatic ecosystems on human health.
Blue Neuroscience demonstrates that marine and aquatic environments promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, enhance emotional well-being, support meditative states, and increase concentration. Protecting the oceans not only preserves biodiversity and the balance of our planet, but also contributes to human health. Promoting the conservation of marine ecosystems, reducing pollution, and encouraging responsible access to natural environments are actions that benefit both the environment and human well-being.
Building on this knowledge, the Blue Neuroscience Hub was created—an initiative dedicated to advancing research, education, and the real-world application of Blue Neuroscience to promote human health through the conservation of, and connection with, marine ecosystems.
A New Health & Ocean Impact Model
The Blue Neuroscience Hub is a pioneering initiative dedicated to researching, communicating, and translating the science behind the ocean's impact on human well-being into real-world action.
The ocean has the power to naturally support emotional regulation and human well-being.
The Blue Neuroscience Institute investigates how ocean environments influence:
Stress reduction
Anxiety management
Sleep quality
Emotional resilience
Mindfulness
Cognitive recovery and mental restoration

PROJECT BLUE HEALTH
What we do
Scientific research to understand how marine environments influence human health.
The Blue Neuroscience Hub is a scientific research platform dedicated to understanding how interaction with marine environments transforms human physical, mental, and emotional health.
Through a multidisciplinary team of physicians, neuroscientists, psychologists, and marine science experts, we study the effects of activities such as walking along the coast, swimming, snorkeling, and sailing on different population groups.
Our goal is to scientifically measure how these experiences influence the brain and the body, promoting the release of endorphins, reducing cortisol levels, and improving mood, attention, stress levels, and other key indicators of human well-being.
