GenAlpha
I want to share an insight that keeps coming up in our research on the relationship between Generation Alpha and the oceans:
The ocean will be their new “cultural territory”: identity, purpose, and action.
The oceans will become their filter for everything: brands, politics, consumption, and the future. Gen Alpha won’t “learn” or “become aware” of the ocean they will grow up seeing whether it is preserved or broken.
They won’t connect to it as a trend.
They will connect because it is essential to their future and economy.
Wow… could this be the first generation truly conscious that 70% of the Earth is covered by water?
The human brain and heart are ~73% water.
Babies and Alphas are ~75-78% water.
Adults average around 60% water.
For the first time, a generation understands something many of us have forgotten:
We don’t live near the ocean… we live inside it_
